LUNA Rubber Base

Rubber Base is a transparent, universal base used for leveling nails. This elastic base is ideal for applying a smooth and firm layer that allows for the application of various types of coatings or extensions.

• pH Value: The base has a pH of 3–4, making it suitable for most nails.

• Elasticity: Minimizes the chance of shrinkage during wear thanks to the elastic properties.

• "Warm sensation: Can cause a feeling of warmth and burning on damaged or very thin nails (not on healthy nails)."

• Use: Can serve as a base for all types of coatings and as a primer for extensions on gel tips.

• Consistency: Has an average consistency and is self-leveling, which ensures a smooth and uniform layer.

• Curing lamp: Requires a lamp of 36–48 W (must be an original lamp).

• Wearability: Offers a long wear time of 3–4 weeks without peeling or chipping.

• Removal: Can be removed by filing as well as by using liquid.

• Hypoallergenic: This base is suitable for sensitive skin and has a neutral scent.

Application method:

1. Removal:

   • Do not file the nail shape or leave it 2 mm long, so that you can remove the excess length after leveling.

   • Use a 220-grit file to gently file the nail, without applying too much pressure, so that you lift the scales of the nail plate. You can also use a 100-grit buffer.

2. Manicure:

   • Wash your hands with soap after using a remover.

   • Degreasing: Use Nail Prep LUNA to properly degrease the nail. Do this in two steps:

     1. Wipe the nail surface with a wipe.

     2. Wrap an orangewood stick in a wipe and use it to clean the cuticle and the grooves of the nail.

3. Dehydrate:

   • Bring a dehydrator if needed.

4. Primer:

   • Ultrabond LUNA (optional): Apply Ultrabond LUNA with a semi-dry brush and wait a minute for it to properly penetrate the nail plate.

5. Applying Rubber Base:

   • Apply the Rubber Base LUNA with a flat gel brush. Move the brush tip over the nail to cover all the sinuses well. Cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.

   • Remove the sticky layer after curing.

6. Leveling with Rubber Base:

   • Apply the Rubber Base LUNA to level the nail. Cure in the lamp for 90 seconds.

   • "After leveling, you can file the shape of the nail to create a good thickness at the free edge, so that the nail remains strong."

7. Final Steps:

   • Remove the stickiness after filing.

   • Apply a thin layer of gel polish or cover base.

   • Finish with a top coat and cure this for 120 seconds.

   • Note: Do not wipe the nails after curing to maintain the shine.
